TOUR ITINERARY
Day 1
Ollantaytambo - Yauricunca pass - QELQANQA community - activities (pachamanca making, handicrafts, offering to mother earth, alpaca festivity).
7:00 - 9:45 pick up from your hotel and transfer to the QELQANQA community.
9:45 - 13:00 We will meet the families. We will have a reception with music and ancestral dance, typical costumes very typical of the place and we will have a tasting of mates with natural products.
We will also participate in the preparation of pachamanca, one of the traditional dishes of the community.
Demonstration of the weaving process of alpaca wool, dyeing with natural pigments, spinning, elaboration of handicrafts, iconographic description.
Sharing lunch (pachamanca) with all-natural local products.
13:00 - 13:30 short break to digest the food.
13:30 - 15:30 we will go for a short walk of 25 minutes to the place where the ceremony to mother earth and the festivity of the animals (alpacas) will take place. The activity will be directed by a shaman and the families.
15:30 - 16:00 return to the houses.
16:00 - 16:30 farewell with the families and return to Ollantaytambo.
